Digantha 2026 was held on April 23rd at 9:30 AM at GDC Surathkal. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ishwar Malpe, Social Activist from Udupi. Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G., Director Administration and Mr. Shreeranga H., Secretary, Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha® Surathkal, graced the occasion as Guests of Honour. The program was presided over by the Principal, Prof. Hareesh Acharya P.
The event was attended by Prof. Neelappa V., Vice Principal; Prof. Vaman Kamanth, Senior Lecturer; along with the Student Senate Secretaries and Joint Secretaries.
The Digantha festival aims to promote student development, enhance skills, and cultivate a dynamic campus culture. It provides students with opportunities to develop and apply business and leadership skills through various competitions, workshops, and networking activities.
The valedictory function was presided over by Sri Jayachandra S. Hatwar, President of Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha® Surathkal. He was joined on the dais by the Principal, Prof. Hareesh Acharya P., and Prof. Neelappa V., Vice Principal. The winners’ list was announced by the Student Welfare Officer, Dr. Sowmya Praveen K.
Canara College, Mangalore, emerged as the overall champions, while SDM College of Management secured the runner-up position.
