The College Day celebration at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal was held on July 1, 2023. The event was attended by the management, faculty, staff, parents and students of the college. The chief guest for the event was Dr. Udaykumar R. Yaragatti, Professor (HAG), Former Director MMIT, Jaipur & NITK, Surathkal.
The program began with a welcome address by the Prof Ramesh Bhat. S.G , Vice Principal & the Student Welfare Officer, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal. He highlighted the achievements of the students and faculty of the college in the past year. He also welcomed the chief guest and the audience.
Prof. Ramesh Kulai , Director – Administration, Govinda Dasa College,Surathkal in his introductory remarks focused on recent achievements about the college in different dimensions. He also set a vision for the college in future days to come.
Prof. P.Krishnamoorthy, Principal gave away the report of all the events and achievements made by the college in the current academic year.
The keynote address by Dr. Udaykumar R. Yaragatti was on the topic of ” Human Values.” He also insisted students to actively participate in academic and extra- curricular activites and bringout the creativity. He also spoke about the achievements backed up with human values leads towards success.
All the meritorious students were felicitated who had achieved in academic & extracurricular activities.
The presidential remarks were made by Sri. Jayachandra Hatwar H, President, Hindu Vidhyadayinee Sangha ®, Surathkal..
The cultural program was the highlight of the event. The students performed a variety of dances, songs, and skits. The audience enjoyed the performances.
The College Day celebration was a well-organized .The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty. It was also a great opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and achievements.
