INNOVATIA 2K25–26: Igniting Innovation & Entrepreneurial Spirit
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Department of Commerce and Business Administration, and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal successfully hosted INNOVATIA 2K25–26 on 12th November 2025 at the college AV Hall. The event emerged as a vibrant platform that celebrated creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking among young minds.
A Grand Inaugural Ceremony
The programme commenced promptly at 10:00 AM with the gracious arrival of dignitaries. The event was formally inaugurated by Smt. Lakshmi P, Principal, Govinda Dasa Pre-University College, whose inspiring words set an energetic tone for the day. The occasion was enriched by the esteemed presence of Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G, Director, Govinda Dasa College, and was presided over by Prof. Hareesha Acharya P, Principal, Govinda Dasa College.
Insightful Presence of Academicians
The event featured Dr. Santhosh Alva, HOD, Department of Kannada, as the Resource Person, who shared valuable insights that motivated students to think innovatively and creatively. The programme was further graced by the presence of Dr. Shridevi, HOD – BBA; Dr. Sowmya Praveen K, SWO & HOD – Commerce; Ms. Punitha R, Coordinator – EDC; Dr. Pratheeksha and Ms. Apeksha Bhandary, Coordinators – Commerce and Business Administration Association; and Ms. Dhanyakumar Venkannanavar, IQAC Coordinator, along with other faculty members.
Engaging Activities & Competitive Spirit
Following the inauguration, the campus buzzed with excitement as a series of innovative activities and competitions were conducted to nurture entrepreneurial skills and creative thinking. A major attraction of the event was the Quiz Competition, exclusively organized for Pre-University (PUC) students, which witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased remarkable knowledge, confidence, and competitive spirit among the participants.
Impressive Participation
The event recorded overwhelming participation with 312 PUC students and 15 staff members representing seven nearby Pre-University Colleges. The visiting hours extended from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, during which participants actively engaged in various sessions and activities, making the event a resounding success.
Seamless Coordination
INNOVATIA 2K25–26 was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Pratheeksha and Ms. Apeksha Bhandary, Coordinators of the Commerce and Business Administration Association, with the dedicated support of the faculty and students of the Department of Commerce and Business Administration.

Overall, INNOVATIA 2K25–26 stood as a dynamic and inspiring academic fest that successfully fostered innovation, encouraged entrepreneurial thinking, and strengthened the bond between Govinda Dasa College and nearby Pre-University institutions.
