GDC Fine arts team rocked at District Level Yuvajanothsava 2019-20  held at Pakshikere by securing  1st Place in One Act Play-, 1st Place in Folk Song,  2nd Place in Shastiya Sangeetha (Sampath ) and 3rd  Place in Pick & Speak (Ananya Ullal) and are selected for State Level Yuvajanothsava which will be held at Shivamoga.

Besant Evening College, Mangalore had organized Inter- Collegiate group dance Competition on 12.2.2020 and our Western Dance Team had participated for the same and bagged consolation prize.

Our Folk Dance and Folk Orchestra team being the winners at south zone level competition were selected for National Level Youth Festival organized by  Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at Amity University, Noida , Delhi from 3.2.2020 to 7.2.2020. Prof.Ramesh Bhat & Ms. Punitha.R were the Team Managers representing Mangalore University from Karnataka.

Shri Iddya Mahalingeshwara Temple, Surathkal had organized a cultural programme for its Bhramakalasha on 2.2.2020. Nearly 70 students of PG & UG , Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal  had performed for cultural programme at 8.00.p.m on this occasion.

Around 50 Students of Jarkand had visited South Canara through Youth & Sports dept. for Cultural Exchange. Govinda Dasa College got an opportunity to interact with those students. Our Yakshagana and cultural team had performed programme showcasing our Coastal regional culture on 25.1.2020 At VIRAT Centre.

Hence, they had approached GDC Fine arts team to give them an opportunity to conduct auditions in our college campus on 17.11.2019. Our Western Dance team have successfully cleared the 2nd round auditions of ‘ Dance Kudla Dance’ organised by Namma Kudla Channel , held at Sharadha College, Mangalore on 15.9.2019 and have been selected for Finals.  

Kudos to the Nightingales of Govinda Dasa College, who bagged 1st place & a cash prize of Rs.11,111/- , in an Inter-Collegiate Indian Music Competition- 2019 held at St. Aloysius College , Mangalore on 13.9.2019.

Mangalore University Level Inter- Collegiate Theatre Arts Competition “Bhuvanotsava-2017” was held at Sri Bhuvanendra College, Karkala on 29.8.2017. Our Drama Team had participated in the same and bagged 2nd prize in skit .

Our Fine Arts Drama team had represented Karnataka in National Level ‘Yuvajanothsava’  held at Rothak, Hariyana from 12.01.2107 to 16.01.2017 and won 4th place in One act play (Drama).

Our Fine Arts Cultural team had represented Dakshina Kannada District in State level ‘Yuvajanothsava’  held at Mysore from 23rd to 25th December 2016. Government of Karnataka had organised District Level Yuvajanothsava on 13.12.2016 at Pavanje. Our Folk dance team bagged 1st place and have been selected for State Level which will be held at Mysore.
